Nosakhare College of Education Holds Historic First Convocation Ceremony
Honours Six Distinguished Nigerians, Celebrates Academic Excellence
Nosakhare College of Education has proudly marked a major milestone in its journey with the successful hosting of its First Convocation Ceremony, held on June 11, 2025. The event was a vibrant celebration of academic achievement, community leadership, and institutional growth.
A major highlight of the day was the conferment of Honorary Fellow Awards on six eminent Nigerians who have made outstanding contributions in education, leadership, community development, and faith-based service. The honorees include:
- Mr. Raymond Okeke
- Engr. Dr. Solomon Enoghase
- Dr. Pius Imuetinyan Alile
- Rev. Monday Ehikwe
- Ngozi Elizabeth Ehighamusoe
- Prophetess Charity John
These individuals were celebrated for their integrity, impact, and commitment to societal transformation—qualities the College seeks to instill in its students.
The audience was also thrilled as Emmanuel Oboh was named Best Graduating Student. In recognition of his academic excellence and exemplary conduct, he received a cash prize of ₦300,000—a symbol of the College’s dedication to rewarding merit and inspiring greatness.
Established after securing provisional accreditation from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) on December 12, 2019, Nosakhare College began academic operations in the 2020/2021 session with 62 pioneering students. Today, it stands as a beacon of academic growth and innovation.
Looking forward, the College is expanding its infrastructure with plans for a state-of-the-art ICT Centre, Science Laboratory, and Library, in line with the Federal Government’s dual-mode education policy. This will support future plans to offer Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree programs.
This first convocation is not just a celebration—it is a launchpad for greater accomplishments. Nosakhare College of Education remains committed to raising educators, leaders, and agents of national development.

Nosakhare College of Education is made up of 5 schools of Applied learning.
Assures solid foundation for Professionals
We have a total of 27 departments throughout the 5 schools of learning
Our Computer Laboratory is the primary location for students to use computers and to access available research tools and resources online or offline
Our Physics Laboratory is the primary location for students to use physical equipments and to access available research tools , get results and then become better scientists
Our Chemistry lab allows students to interact directly with practical data gathered and also, get a first-hand learning experience by performing various chemical experiments on their own.
This laboratory aids our focus on sharpening and developing specific teaching skills and eliminating errors in our student teachers, increasing their understanding of behaviours important in classroom teaching with a consequent increase in the confidence of the learning teacher.
With this, we offer our students the ability to learn English, and several other languages at once. It facilitates classroom engagement and interaction via computer-based exercises to maximize language immersion. It offers more advanced features and functionalities.
